July 2nd, 2009
The controversial Cash for Clunkers bill has been praised by some as a way to get old cars off the streets and exchange them with newer, fuel efficient vehicles. However, other consumers feel that the measure is not going far enough with the current fuel efficiency requirements. Others believe that the measure should only be offered to low income families.
Regardless of the opposing views, the program will start on July 24, 2009 and will be called the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS). The program will be administered by the NHTSA and the official website fo rules and regulations is http://cars.gov.
BMW has a number of 1-Series and 3-Series cars that can qualify for the CARS rebate system and if you have any questions about your trade-in, call us today.
